The Black HIlls Sioux Nation Treaty Council, the Strong Heart Warrior Society of the Independent Lakota Nation, and the Lakota Oyate met with the Department of Justice on the unexplained deaths of our people. October 21, 2017.

The DOJ Justice Relations Committee decides to work with the Oyate to launch an independent investigation. Hoka Hey!
At the end of the meeting everyone came together. A good day – an agreement for an independent independent investigation into the unexplained deaths of our Oyate. Thanks to the BHSNTC, the Oyate, and Strong Heart Warrior Society. May these issues finally get some rest.
